Terms of Service
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Chatix, a free anonymous chat platform ("Chatix", "we", "us"). By accessing or using Chatix, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the service.
1. Eligibility
Chatix is for adults 18 years of age or older. By using Chatix you confirm that you are at least 18. We age-gate signup and actively remove accounts we believe belong to minors. The service is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly allow anyone under 18 to use it.
2. Anonymous, account-free access
Chatix does not require registration. You choose a temporary handle and a few session details to start chatting. Because there is no account, there is nothing to "log in" to and no password to recover — each session stands on its own.
3. Acceptable use
Chatix only works if people are decent to each other. When using the service, you agree not to:
- Harass, threaten, stalk, or abuse anyone.
- Share sexual content involving minors, or attempt to contact, groom, or solicit minors. This is reported to authorities.
- Post illegal content, promote violence, or incite hatred against people based on who they are.
- Send spam, scams, phishing links, malware, or unsolicited advertising.
- Impersonate others, or attempt to unmask or dox another user.
- Circumvent bans, scrape the service, or interfere with its security or operation.
Our Community Guidelines describe these rules in more detail and form part of these Terms. We may remove content and suspend or ban access — without notice — for any violation.
4. Your content and conduct
You are responsible for what you say and share on Chatix. Messages are transient and are deleted within 24 hours of a conversation ending, but while a chat is active they pass through our systems so we can deliver them and apply safety filters. You retain ownership of what you write; you grant us a limited license to transmit and process it solely to operate the service.
5. Safety is shared, not guaranteed
We provide tools — one-tap block and report, automated filters, and 24/7 human moderation — to keep Chatix safe, and we describe them on our Safety page. But Chatix involves talking with strangers, and we cannot guarantee the behavior of other people. Never share information that connects your chat identity to your real life, and trust your instincts.
6. No professional advice; not a crisis service
Conversations on Chatix are between members of the public and are not a substitute for professional, medical, legal, or mental-health advice. Chatix is not an emergency or crisis service. If you or someone else is in danger, contact your local emergency number or a crisis helpline.
7. Advertising
Chatix is free and supported by ads on our public pages. By using the service you acknowledge that we and our partners may display advertising as described in our Privacy Policy. Ads never appear inside conversations.
8. Disclaimers
Chatix is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free.
9. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Chatix and its operators will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for the conduct of any user, arising from your use of the service.
10. Changes and termination
We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of Chatix at any time, and we may update these Terms. Material changes will be reflected in the "Last updated" date above; continuing to use Chatix after a change means you accept the revised Terms. We may also terminate or restrict your access if you violate these Terms.
