Cookie Policy
This Cookie Policy explains how Chatix uses cookies and similar technologies. It should be read alongside our Privacy Policy.
What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files that a website stores in your browser. They let a site remember things between page loads — like keeping your chat session alive — and they let third parties, such as ad networks, recognize a browser across visits.
The cookies we use
| Type | Purpose | Set by |
|---|---|---|
| Strictly necessary | Keep your chat session active, remember basic preferences, and protect against abuse. The site can't function without these. | Chatix |
| Analytics | Help us understand which pages are used so we can improve them, in aggregate. These do not identify you. | Chatix / providers |
| Advertising | Used by Google and other partners to show and measure ads, including ads based on your prior browsing. | Third parties |
Advertising cookies
Chatix is free and partly supported by advertising. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to Chatix and other websites. You can opt out of personalized advertising at Google Ads Settings, aboutads.info/choices (US), or youronlinechoices.eu (EU). Turning off personalization doesn't remove ads — it just makes them less tailored.
Managing cookies in your browser
You can delete or block cookies through your browser settings. Most browsers let you do this from their privacy or security menu — here are the official guides for Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Edge. Note that blocking strictly necessary cookies may stop chat from working.
